Tips and Pointers: Here are a few little tips to help, but a coach showing you and
working with you on an individual basis can make the difference in your being a good
ball player or a great one. These are just some of the basic fundamentals, if you
already know these things you may be ready for my advanced sessions, which include
the Cross Over and Fake Cross Over. Use of the Jab step and up fakes and much
more.

Defense: Stay between your man and the basket.
When guarding the player with the ball, keep your eyes on his waist, you will have the
best chance of staying between them and the basket. Lebron James might still cross
you, but if you watch the head, arms, legs or the ball you will get faked out much
easier.

Shooting: The power of the shot comes from the legs and bending your knees, not
from just the arms or chest. Aim for the back of the rim. Have a nice back spin on the ball, that is called rotation in basketball.

Dribbling: Do not look at the ball when dribbling, always have you eyes up and see
the court. Don't dribble the ball higher than your waist.
Use your fingertips and do not dribble with the palm of your hand.
